They started work promptly at 8am on 6th and by noon this is how
they had progressed and by the end of the first day.
By noon on the 7th the work was complete and children had access

One of the findings of the Parish Plan was strong support for
allotments within the village. It is proposed that a suitable site for
these is part of the Parish owned Chapel Lane Playing Fields which
are currently not fully utilised. The proposal is as follows:
Utilise the hard surface of the former basket ball court
(approx 12m x12m) as a covered area for people to sit as
well a roof offering guttering into 8 fixed water butts.
8 no. long beds (20m x 8m) for family plots
8 no. half sized beds for single people
A small orchard of 12 apple trees
A questionnaire will be circulated to relevant areas of the
Village to ascertain the views on the proposal. You can also
download a copy here to fill in and return to the Village Post
office or a Parish Councillor.
